The Sydney green wattle is found native in New South Wales, along the central coast and tablelands and the Blue Mountains area at lower elevations. Young foliage is pale yellow changing to a bright dark green. Pale colored ball flowers appear in summer. This species is very similar to Acacia mearnsii.
