Banksia burdettii Burdett's Banksia |
This species is from West Australia, north of Perth. It is a large shrub to 12' and has a dense, spreading habit. The 4" blooms are found at the tips of branches in late summer and early fall. Flower progression is from the base finally changing to a yellow/orange to yellow/white flower. Fast growing and good for cut flowers. Excellent for rock garden and very drought tolerant.
DO NOT FERTILIZE WITH PHOSPHOROUS FERTILIZERS!
