As noted in the picture above, the flower color is reddish/maroon and the inverted flower spikes appear in spring. A mature shrub size is about 2 m x 1.5 m (6' x 4-1/2'). The leaves are slightly toothed. This species is from Western Australia and prefers well-drained soils with very low fertility.
