Banksia ornata Desert Banksia |
One of the two species native to South Australia - the other is Banksia marginata. The flower color is a yellow green to yellow bronze color - spikes to 6" long x 4" diameter. This species is moderately frost hardy. Soil type should be well drained and dry. Tolerant of salt and lime type soils. Full sun for best flowering. Easily propagated by seed.
DO NOT FERTILIZE WITH PHOSPHOROUS FERTILIZERS!
