This small Callistemon species is a spreading shrub 2-3 m high x 1-2 m wide. It has copper colored new growth, the leaves are narrow and elliptical to 8 cm. Flowers are usually dull red brushes 5-9 x 4-8 cm. Best growth is attained in full sun. Soil needs are sand, loam, clay, damp, well drained, acid, neutral, alkaline. Prune after flowering, moderately frost tolerant. Attractive container plant.
