Callistemon pityoides (previously known as Callistemon sieberi) has the common name of Alpine bottlebrush. It is a compact shrub to about 3' and occurs naturally at high elevations. The leaves are needle-like and the flowers are like creamy to pale yellow bottlebrushes. This is a frost- resistant species and tolerates snow! Prune after flowering. +23 degrees F.
