Description: This species is from West Australia, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, generally found in dry sands. A mallee type with narrow, glossy green leaves. The buds are usually prolific, becoming bright orange to red near flowering time and is an attractive feature of this species. Smooth, slender reddish stems and the flowers and foliage are used in the floriculture trade. Prefers areas of low rainfall, less than 600 mm per year (24 inches) - very drought tolerant.
