Description: This is a mallee or small bushy shrub up to 15'. The leaves are rounded, gray-green in color and somewhat thick. Young bark stem color is a smooth red, older bark curls off in strips to reveal a green and cream color bark. It is known for it "minniritchie" bark traits. The flowers are yellow and appear on bell-shaped pods. This species is good for dry areas and climates.
Culture: Sun, well drained, acid soil pH, sandy loam, 10" annual rainfall.
Uses: Ornamental plantings, honey production, cut flowers, foliage and fruits, frost resistant, wind resistant.
