Eucalyptus oreades Blue Mountain Ash |
Description: A fast growing tree that features white or yellow peeling bark in long ribbons. The leaves are dark green and up to 6" long. A nice timber tree for its white wood. Found native in the Blue Mountains area of New South Wales and Queensland on poor sandy soils on high sloping country.
Culture: Sun, acid pH soil, clay, 30"+ annual rainfall.
Uses: Ornamental plantings, shade, sawmill timber, firewood, frost tolerant plant.
