Description: Smooth white to gray, sometimes yellow bark. Juvenile leaves are glaucous. Adult leaves gray-green to glaucous and contrast strongly with the juvenile leaves, branches pendulous. Cultivated in New Zealand as windbreaks in cold exposed areas. Buds, seed capsules and twigs are usually coated with a thick, glaucous wax.
