Description: 15-24' x 9-18' tree. Flowers in clusters of yellow or scarlet red and very prolific. Quick growing and will tolerate moderate frosts. Smooth bark and gray-green foliage. Tolerant of heavy soils and moderate frost.
Culture: Sun, loam, sand, clay, well-drained, acid, neutral or alkaline soils, annual rainfall minimum of 10 inches per year.
Uses: Ornamental, firewood, honey production, coastal area plantings, frost tolerant.
