Windmill Outback Nursery currently has Anigozanthos plants available in 1 gallon containers. I have had numerous request for these plants as they make such a long lasting cut flower and are fairly easy to grow in containers. All are considered tropical, but can still be enjoyed given some care. They prefer a sunny location and you should only water these when the media is dry. Too much moisture can rot the root system off.
These plants were done from tissue culture (actually our first experience growing tissue cultured plants) and I'm quite impressed by their growth rate and flower production. I wish I had gone the tissue culture route years ago, but I plodded along working to germinate Anigozanthos species from seed.
All the species listed below are tissue cultured plants and are expected to bloom the first year. These plants are in a high-porosity media mix for sharp drainage.
Here is your chance to get some of these wonderful plants that are almost impossible to find in the mail-order nursery trade!
Supply is limited this year, order early so you don't miss out!
