| Kessellii - Jurdacuttup mallee: A small tree or mallee species to 10m (30') found in various coastal and sub-coastal areas in West Australia, including Jurdacuttup. The bark is rough in texture, although it can be smooth on smaller mallees. Juvenile foliage is usually a dull, gray-green and reminds me of the foliage of E. polyanthemos, although the stems on E. kessellii are an attractive red. Adult foliage is usually a shiny green. Flowers are creamy white and in groups of 3 or 7 and have diamond shaped buds. Annual rainfall about 20 inches per year. Zone 9. | |
